Strategies for Getting More Quality Time Perspective: You’re always there when your child really needs you. Work on achieving balance over a week, not everyday. Use technology to stay connected- Facetime when you’re away, text with your childcare provider for updates on your child’s day, etc. Ban technology during family time- phones down and video games away! Find the work/family life balance that works for your family. Don’t compare your situation to anyone else’s. Develop a trusted support network- family, friends, teachers and childcare. Self-care- The best thing you can do for your child is to take care of yourself. Exercise, meditate, spend time with your partner and friends and get quality sleep!
